Wine house Pavlomir
The historical development of viticulture and winemaking has experienced various ups and downs throughout the history because of specific geopolitical and economic turmoil. Viticulture in the Croatian Littoral dates back to the time of ancient Romans, who recognised this area as a fertile oasis for wine production. Among them is the Vinodol Valley, a literal translation of the Roman name Vallis Vinearia.
The rich viticultural and winemaking tradition of the Vinodol Valley is accepted by Miroslav Palinkaš, whose family tradition of grape and wine production originates from Šarengrad (Srijem vineyards) where he still owns 4 hectares of Graševina together with his brother and father. Today, the winery owns 40 hectares of land, of which 31 hectares are vineyards. In the heart of the vineyard a new cellar with a tasting room was built, which is enjoyed by many visitors today.
